Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the questions that we are most frequently asked.  We provide you with the answer and where to locate these in our governing rules (the POA By-Laws and the Reservations & Restrictions (R&Rs).
  • Q. If I need EMS assistance do I need to call CT Security first for access?A. Always dial 911 first in an emergency.  After you have made the call, then you may want to call CT Security (499-2339) so they can help direct EMS to the address you have given them.
  • Q.  Who do I call if I see a questionable situation?
    A.  If it is a life threatening situation, call 911 immediately and then CT Security.  If you see speeders, unlawful entry into a mailbox, hear loud noises, call CT Security (919 499-2339).
  • Q.  Can I attend the monthly W-T dinners at the CT Country Club if I am not a member of the club?
    A.  Yes, all adult non-club member may attend all POA meetings and dinners held at the CTCC. All non-club members are required to pay by check when making a reservation.  The host couple will accept the check made out to CTCC for the inclusive amount.  It is important to sign up and you may do so at the W-T sheet located on the ProShop bulletin board.  Come join us and meet your neighbors!
  • Q.  When does the W-T pool open for the summer and what are the pool hours?
    A.  The WT Pool & Pavilion open for use by W-T residents and their houseguests on the first week in May.  The hours of use are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Remember, if you have six or more guests and want to use the Pavilion you need to make a reservation with the W-T recreation Area committee. Don't forget the tennis courts are open year round, weather permitting.
  • Q.  Do I have to belong to the CTCC to attend the Summer W-T pool parties? Can I bring guests?
    A.  The W-T pool parties are open to all W-T residents and their house guests. During the Summer months party hosts will announce the event by placing a flyer in your mailbox.  It is a good way to meet your neighbors.
  • Q.  I own an undeveloped lot, do I have to keep it clear?
    A.  It is the owners' responsibility to maintain their property to high standards of appearance.  (WT R&R, Section 8, Paragraph (H)) The owner should also keep any drainage ditches clear of leaves and debris in order to allow for rain waters to run freely and not adversely affect their property or adjacent properties.
  • Q.  Can I run, stroll my children or ride my bike on the golf cart path in W-T?
    A.  The golf cart paths are Private Property for use by CT Country Club members only.  There are designated golfing hours that must be adhered to for the safety of everyone.  If you are a CTCC member you may use the paths as designated by the CTCC R&R. (CTCC R&R, Greens & Grounds, Section I, paragraph 8.)
  • Q.   I am expecting a visitor, a delivery, a repairman, FEDEX...do I need to let anybody know?   
    A.  Call CT Security to alert them of any short or long term visitors. They can be house guests, visitors, furniture delivery, repairmen, etc., however, you do not have to alert the gate for FEDEX, UPS, or any types of deliveries.
  • Q.  Can my dog run loose when we are outdoors in W-T?
    A.  All pets must remain in the confines of the owner's property or on a leash when off the owner's property.  Pet owners will ensure the pick-up and removal of pet waste. (WT R&R, Section 8, Paragraph M)  
  • Q.  Can I put up a fence in my yard?
    A.  There are several steps you must follow to obtain approval from the W-T Architectural Committee before any construction starts. (WT R&R, Section 8, Paragraph C).
